SyntX is Weltrade’s own line of synthetic indices and one of the main reasons traders look at the broker. Unlike forex or gold, these instruments trade 24/7 and do not react to economic news. This guide explains what Weltrade synthetic indices are, the main types, SyntX account conditions and the risks you must understand.

What are synthetic indices?
Synthetic indices are instruments whose prices are generated by an algorithm (a random number generator with defined parameters) rather than by a real market. Because they are not linked to real assets, they do not react to data releases, central bank decisions or political news. What is engineered is their behaviour: volatility level, spikes, trend switches and so on. Weltrade offers them under the SyntX name on MetaTrader 5.
Types of Weltrade SyntX instruments
| Family | Behaviour | Example symbols |
|---|---|---|
| FX Vol | Relatively constant volatility; the number indicates the volatility level | FX Vol 20, 40, 60, 80 |
| SFX Vol | Volatility variants with behaviour different from FX Vol | SFX Vol 20, 40… |
| PainX / GainX | Built around sharp one-directional spikes; the number marks the spike-frequency variant | GainX / PainX 400, 600, 800, 999, 1200 |
| FlipX | Periodic direction reversals | FlipX 1… |
| SwitchX, BreakX, TrendX | Regime switches, breakouts and trend phases | As listed in MT5 |
Full contract specifications are available in MT5 (right-click the symbol → Specification). The instrument list may change.
FX Vol 20
FX Vol 20 is one of the most popular SyntX instruments because its volatility is lower than other variants, so it is often used for learning and for EAs on medium timeframes. “Lower” is relative, though: with 1:10000 leverage even small positions move fast.

Advantages
- 24/7 trading, including weekends
- No news shocks or weekend gaps
- Statistically defined volatility, useful for testing technical strategies
- Small starting deposit
Risks you must understand
- 1:10000 leverage: tiny moves can wipe out a balance. Always use stop-losses and minimum lots.
- No real market behind prices: prices come from the broker’s algorithm and you trade directly against the broker.
- Sharp spikes on PainX/GainX can jump through stop-losses with slippage.
- Strategies don’t transfer from other brokers’ synthetics (e.g. Deriv) — behaviour differs.
- Signals, EAs and “SyntX courses” promising fixed profits are a red flag.
- Regulation: SyntX is offered by Weltrade’s offshore entity; Weltrade is not licensed by Bappebti.
Tips for beginners
- Practise on a SyntX demo for at least a few weeks.
- Read each symbol’s contract specification first.
- Limit risk per trade (e.g. 1–2% of the balance).
- Avoid adding to losing positions (martingale).
- Keep a trading journal.
