MetaTrader 5 is Weltrade’s main platform and the only one for Cent, Raw Spread and SyntX accounts. This guide shows how to download Weltrade MT5 for PC, install it, log in correctly and fix the most common errors.
What you need
- a Weltrade Personal Profile and an MT5 trading account (live or demo);
- your MT5 account number, trader password and server name — all shown in the account details and in the account creation email;
- a Windows or Mac computer with a stable connection.
Step 1: Download the installer
- Log in to your Personal Profile on the official weltrade.com site.
- Open the download trading platform section and choose MetaTrader 5, or use the MT5 page in the platforms section of the site.
- Save the desktop installer.
The broker’s MT5 build already includes Weltrade’s servers. The generic MetaQuotes version also works, but you’ll need to find the server manually.
Step 2: Install
- Run the installer and follow the prompts.
- Allow MT5 through your firewall or antivirus if asked.
- Launch MetaTrader 5.
Step 3: Log in
- Go to File → Login to Trade Account.
- Login: your MT5 account number.
- Password: your trader password — not your email or Personal Profile password.
- Server: the server listed in your account details (Weltrade’s help centre gives Weltrade-Live as an example). Demo servers differ from live ones.
- Click Login; your balance and quotes should appear.
If the server isn’t listed, click Add New Broker, type “Weltrade” and select the correct server.
Common errors
| Problem | Usual cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Invalid account | Wrong server or wrong password | Check the server in account details; use the trader password |
| No connection | Internet or firewall | Allow MT5 in firewall/antivirus; try another network |
| MT4 account won’t log in | MT4 credentials don’t work in MT5 | Open a separate MT5 account in the Personal Profile |
| Forgot password | — | Reset the trader password in account settings |
Showing SyntX instruments
On a SyntX account, open Market Watch, right-click → Show All or Symbols to display FX Vol, PainX/GainX and other synthetics. Learn how they behave in our Weltrade synthetic indices guide.
MT5 on Mac
MetaTrader 5 is supported on Windows and macOS. Logging in on a Mac works the same way: account number, trader password and server.
